I have been sitting here staring at my computer, reading the awesome Pioneer Woman blog, knowing I should be writing something (anything) tonight while I have some time. Nothing is coming up and my stupid computer simply refuses to do it for me.
Laying to my immediate left is a stack of mail from the past three days. I know, I know, lazy. In it came one of my favorite things… a letter from my Grandma (see Love you Granny post from 4/12/2010). This one included a note which simply said “You are always on my mind. Love, Grandma” and a few, very random, clipped articles from the paper and a magazine.
The content, and its randomness, is what I love. Well, that and my Grandma’s handwriting. One was labeled that it was for my dear husband, something about baseball. One was from the AARP magazine and it was a helpful little snippet about ginger and staving off migraine headaches. I love that she thought to send this one since she, my Mom, and I have all been serious migraine sufferers. Another was about how Crest desensitizing toothpaste helps relieves asthma, something my Mother and I also suffer. And finally the last article is about some guy with excessively sweaty and super stinky feet. Huh? Really?! He uses this ointment that has been around for like a hundred years, Absorbine Jr., and he is cured. Hey Granny, you trying to tell me something?!?!
