As I have said before, if I can see it I can probably do it. Years ago I ran across diaper cakes and have been making the occasional shower gift ever since. This actually works out perfect for me since I love to shop for baby incidentals and I love a crafty project.
Today was my step-sister-in-law’s baby shower. Ya follow that? I love her and didn’t know what to get her since a lot of items she may need would be handed down to her. I went with my good ol’ standby. Only this one I decided to do last minute. *groan*
Yesterday, I drug my kiddos to the local baby warehouse store (on my birthday, no less), printed the registry, and away I went. By the time I started this crafting adventure it was 9:30 at night, the shower was at 1:00 today. Crunch time! I decided on a bath theme. The cake included like 15 or so bath items (towels, washcloths, brush, etc…) and the ones I bought that wouldn’t fit I stuck in a gift bag to sit along side. Kinda ghetto but I wanted her to have all the stuff. So after working on it *hair pulling* for a few hours I finally decide it is cute enough to gift. It was only 12:48… why not hand make a card too?!?
I have included pics of the one I made for today’s party and the geeky card. I will post the others I have made at a later date, when I am not so dead tired!
Ta Da!!! xo
